EYES of the LORD

 Job 31:4

King James Version

4 Doth not he see my ways,

and count all my steps?

Does GOD really see EVERYTHING?

What does He look for?

What does He check out?

What does Scripture say?

Genesis 6:8-9

King James Version

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah:

Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,

and Noah walked with God.

Deuteronomy 11:11-12

King James Version

11 But the land,

whither ye go to possess it,

is a land of hills and valleys,

and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:

12 A land which the Lord thy God careth for:

the eyes of the Lord thy God are always upon it,

from the beginning of the year

even unto the end of the year.

1 Samuel 16:7

King James Version

7 But the Lord said unto Samuel,

Look not on his countenance,

or on the height of his stature;

because I have refused him:

for the Lord seeth not as man seeth;

for man looketh on the outward appearance,

but the Lord looketh on the heart.

2 Chronicles 16:9

King James Version

9 For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro

throughout the whole earth,

to shew himself strong in the behalf of them

whose heart is perfect toward him.

Herein thou hast done foolishly:

therefore from henceforth

thou shalt have wars.

Job 33:27-28

King James Version

27 He looketh upon men,

and if any say, I have sinned,

and perverted that which was right,

and it profited me not;

28 He will deliver his soul from going into the pit,

and his life shall see the light.

Job 34:21-22

King James Version

21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man,

and he seeth all his goings.

22 There is no darkness, nor shadow of death,

where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Psalm 14:2

King James Version

2 The Lord looked down from heaven

upon the children of men,

to see if there were any that did understand,

and seek God.

Psalm 32:8

King James Version

8 I will instruct thee

and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go:

I will guide thee with mine eye.

Psalm 33:18-19

King James Version

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord

is upon them that fear him,

upon them that hope in his mercy;

19 To deliver their soul from death,

and to keep them alive in famine.

Psalm 34:15

King James Version

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,

and his ears are open unto their cry.

Psalm 139:1-3

King James Version

139 O lord,

thou hast searched me,

and known me.

2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,

thou understandest my thought afar off.

3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down,

and art acquainted with all my ways.

Proverbs 5:21

King James Version

21 For the ways of man

are before the eyes of the Lord,

and he pondereth all his goings.

Proverbs 15:3

King James Version

3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place,

beholding the evil and the good.

Proverbs 22:12

King James Version

12 The eyes of the Lord preserve knowledge,

and he overthroweth the words of the transgressor.

Jeremiah 17:10

King James Version

10 I the Lord search the heart,

I try the reins,

even to give every man according to his ways,

and according to the fruit of his doings.

Zechariah 4:10

King James Version

10 For who hath despised the day of small things?

for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet

in the hand of Zerubbabel

with those seven;

they are the eyes of the Lord,

which run to and fro

through the whole earth.

Hebrews 4:13

King James Version

13 Neither is there any creature

that is not manifest in his sight:

but all things are naked and opened

unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

1 Peter 3:12

King James Version

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,

and his ears are open unto their prayers:

but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Revelation 5:6

King James Version

6 And I beheld, and, lo,

in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,

and in the midst of the elders,

stood a Lamb as it had been slain,

having seven horns and seven eyes,

which are the seven Spirits of God

sent forth into all the earth.

MIRACLE in itself

Matthew 17:20

King James Version

20 And Jesus said unto them,

Because of your unbelief:

for verily I say unto you,

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed,

ye shall say unto this mountain,

Remove hence to yonder place;

and it shall remove;

and nothing shall be impossible

unto you.

It's a MIRACLE in itself.

That I understand the Bible at all.

Much less write about it.

And piece the books, chapters, and verses together.

Weaving from the material given.

With SPIRIT creating a system for me.

I attribute this miracle to the TRIUNE GOD:

-- To GOD, Who saved me.

-- To JESUS, Who taught me GOD's laws.

-- To SPIRIT, Who guides me through Scripture.

I used to be really intimidated by the Bible.

As a kid, schools gave us Gideon Bibles to study.

I never really got to do that.

Though we'd be given stories, and verses by the Catholic nuns.

I am grateful for that foundation.

As a grownup, I'd merely stare at the Bibles in the bookstores.

Not quite knowing where to begin.

I was reading most everything, EXCEPT the Bible.

But when GOD made me born again, I took to the Bible as a fish to water.

We were made for each other.

I swam effortlessly.

Happily.

Gloriously.

Endlessly.

GOD was my AIR.

I lived, and breathed, through Him.

I was blowing bubbles of joy!

GOD was that VAST OCEAN I swam in.

Happy to be home, at last!

GOD made Scripture easy for me to understand.

Through His SPIRIT's guidance, I have a joyous time studying.

The LORD knew I had been searching so long.

Looking for that ULTIMATE, ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

Which happened to be Him.

When I surrendered all my sins, He knew I was ready to read His BOOK.

Ready to take the journey He had planned for me, all along.

Ready to read that wonderful, glorious, astounding book of His LIFE.

And He sent His SPIRIT, that I may understand easily, and happily.

For when you understand, you become happy.

And you can't wait to share with others your discoveries.

That's why there's no stopping our blogs.

I have ALWAYS loved the written word.

I had no idea GOD's LIVING WORD would change my life.

Beautifully, and completely.

There is nothing like comprehending the Bible.

And knowing that the ONLY POWER is GOD.

If you don't know the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I invite you to do these things:

-- PRAY to GOD.

-- OPEN your heart to Him.

-- APPROACH Him, as a child would.

-- SPEAK to Him in your own way.

-- BE willing to wait for His answers.

This is a personal relationship between you, and GOD.

No one else's business, but yours.

For myself, I would always pray to Him, as a child would:

Knowing nothing, but

wanting to know

EVERYTHING.

And He would laugh at that hungry, little heart of mine!

Watch what happens next, soon as you pray to GOD!

GOD will always show up at His own PERFECT time.

At the time you need Him the most!

You being humbled, and feeling forsaken, that's when GOD's closest.

He will show up, in a manner perfectly attuned to His child.

Which you are.

That's what makes our journeys exciting.

We never know what GOD has in store for us.

But how can you know, UNLESS you ASK Him?

Say YES to GOD now!

SEA of GALILEE

Matthew 4:13-15

King James Version

13 And leaving Nazareth

he came and dwelt in Capernaum

which is upon the sea coast,

in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

14 That it might be fulfilled

which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim,

by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan

Galilee of the Gentiles;

It's been quite a journey the past couple of days.

This being the third.

We've been mighty busy writing a series of articles.

On the death, burial, and Resurrection of JESUS.

This article you're reading now is the SEVENTH in that series:

After JESUS died

The HIGH PRIEST's burial

When JESUS resurrected

JESUS appears before His disciples

JESUS instructs His APOSTLES

MEAL at GALILEE

After that last article, I knew this article had to be written.

For SPIRIT made me notice something.

All because I was searching for that verse on the "sons of Zebedee".

Which led me to these verses:

Matthew 4:18-22

King James Version

18 And Jesus,

walking by the sea of Galilee,

saw two brethren,

Simon called Peter

and Andrew his brother

casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19 And he saith unto them,

Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

20 And they straightway left their nets,

and followed him.

21 And going on from thence,

he saw other two brethren,

James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother

in a ship with Zebedee their father,

mending their nets; and he called them.

22 And they immediately left the ship

and their father, and followed him.

That's when SPIRIT made me realize where it all began.

And where it all ended, at least on earth.

By the Sea of Galilee.

Where JESUS started His ministry.

Matthew 4:23-25

King James Version

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee,

teaching in their synagogues,

and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,

and healing all manner of sickness

and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria:

and they brought unto him all sick people

that were taken with divers diseases and torments,

and those which were possessed with devils,

and those which were lunatick,

and those that had the palsy;

and he healed them.

25 And there followed him

great multitudes of people from Galilee,

and from Decapolis,

and from Jerusalem,

and from Judaea,

and from beyond Jordan.

And where JESUS shared His last earthly meal with His apostles.

John 21:1-4

King James Version

21 After these things Jesus shewed himself again

to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias;

and on this wise shewed he himself.

2 There were together Simon Peter,

and Thomas called Didymus

and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee,

and the sons of Zebedee,

and two other of his disciples.

3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing.

They say unto him, We also go with thee.

They went forth,

and entered into a ship immediately;

and that night they caught nothing.

4 But when the morning was now come,

Jesus stood on the shore:

but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

We learn the Sea of Galilee is also called:

"Sea of Chinnereth"

"Lake of Gennesareth"

"Sea of Tiberias"

John 6:1-2

King James Version

6 After these things

Jesus went over the sea of Galilee,

which is the sea of Tiberias.

2 And a great multitude followed him,

because they saw his miracles

which he did on them that were diseased.

The Sea of Galilee is special.

It is witness to the LORD's ministry.

The calling of His apostles.

The miracles, and healings.

The teachings.

The last instructions to Peter.

Which He repeated THREE times:

John 21:15

King James Version

15 So when they had dined,

Jesus saith to Simon Peter,

Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?

He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;

thou knowest that I love thee.

He saith unto him,

Feed my lambs.

John 21:16

King James Version

16 He saith to him again the second time,

Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?

He saith unto him, Yea, Lord;

thou knowest that I love thee.

He saith unto him,

Feed my sheep.

John 21:17

King James Version

17 He saith unto him the third time,

Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me?

Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time,

Lovest thou me? And he said unto him,

Lord, thou knowest all things;

thou knowest that I love thee.

Jesus saith unto him,

Feed my sheep.

We are those lambs.

We are that sheep.

JESUS was with His apostles.

Until He was taken up to heaven.

Acts 1:6-11

King James Version

6 When they therefore were come together,

they asked of him, saying,

Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again

the kingdom to Israel?

7 And he said unto them,

It is not for you to know the times or the seasons,

which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 But ye shall receive power,

after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:

and ye shall be witnesses unto me

both in Jerusalem

and in all Judaea, and in Samaria

and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 And when he had spoken these things,

while they beheld, he was taken up;

and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven

as he went up,

behold,

two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said,

Ye men of Galilee,

why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

this same Jesus,

which is taken up from you into heaven,

shall so come in like manner

as ye have seen him go into heaven.
