How AWARENESS heals

 


2 Timothy 3:16-17

King James Version

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, 

and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, 

for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, 

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.


How can we really know how we have hurt others?

How can we really know the consequences of our sins?

How can we really know we've sinned at all?

Only when GOD makes us born again.

That's when awareness starts.

For GOD sends His SPIRIT to teach us.

We are taught about JESUS.

We are taught about Scripture.

We are taught about GOD's laws.

Only then can we become aware of the damage we've done.

Whether to ourselves, or to others.

And how we've displeased GOD.

How we've defied GOD.

How we've turned our backs on Him.

How we've disobeyed His commandments.

But what if we didn't know anything about GOD yet?

Well, there's Scripture to tell us.

It is GOD's book.

It is His story.

His history.

Proof of His love.

Proof of His never-ending patience.

Proof of His promises.

Only by being born again can we know all that.

Unless, and until we have the HOLY SPIRIT in us, we can't understand Scripture perfectly.

Only SPIRIT teaches us perfectly.

JESUS promised:

John 16:13-14

King James Version

13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, 

he will guide you into all truth: 

for he shall not speak of himself; 

but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: 

and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me: 

for he shall receive of mine, 

and shall shew it unto you.


It doesn't matter if you're the worst sinner on earth.

Apostle Paul claimed to be that.

1 Timothy 1:15

King James Version

15 This is a faithful saying, 

and worthy of all acceptation, 

that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; 

of whom I am chief.


I, too, claim to be that.

But I get comfort from Scripture.

I am grateful for being born again.

SPIRIT teaches me everything.

How I've sinned.

Who I've hurt.

The consequences of my actions.

Can I undo all that?

Only through GOD's MERCY is that possible.

When He sent JESUS to save us from sin.

Romans 10:9

King James Version

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, 

and shalt believe in thine heart 

that God hath raised him from the dead, 

thou shalt be saved.


JESUS commands we repent.

For the time is "at hand".

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying, 

The time is fulfilled, 

and the kingdom of God is at hand: 

repent ye, and believe the gospel.


Get right with JESUS now.

Seek GOD with all your heart.

Pray to be born again.

That SPIRIT may teach you all things.

So you become aware.

And start your own healing process.

It's important to know how we've displeased GOD.

How we've hurt others, and ourselves.

It will be tough.

It will be painful.

It will be haunting.

But we'll get there.

SCRIPTURE asks questions


 1 Corinthians 2:9

King James Version

9 But as it is written, 

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, 

neither have entered into the heart of man, 

the things which God hath prepared 

for them that love him.


As we have questions for the Bible, the Bible also asks us questions.

Demanding satisfactory answers.

Aghast that we have not known.

Challenging our norms.

Stretching our thinking.

Causing us to ponder upon them.

As can be seen from TWO striking sets of verses.

Which were coursed through prophets and apostles:

Isaiah 40:28

King James Version

28 Hast thou not known? 

hast thou not heard, 

that the everlasting God, 

the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, 

fainteth not, neither is weary? 

there is no searching of his understanding.


1 Corinthians 6:19

King James Version

19 What? 

know ye not that your body 

is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, 

which ye have of God, 

and ye are not your own?


And we'd better come up with satisfactory answers.

And not lie, bluff, or fabricate.

For GOD sees, and knows.

Every heart.

Genesis 6:5

King James Version

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man 

was great in the earth, 

and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart 

was only evil continually.


Psalm 14:2

King James Version

2 The Lord looked down from heaven 

upon the children of men, 

to see if there were any that did understand, 

and seek God.


John 2:24-25

King James Version

24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, 

because he knew all men,

25 And needed not that any should testify of man: 

for he knew what was in man.

JUDGMENT DAY verses

 

John 3:17

King James Version

17 For God sent not his Son into the world 

to condemn the world; 

but that the world through him 

might be saved.


What is JUDGMENT day?

What are we to expect?

Who will judge whom?

How shall we prepare?

The Bible has the answers.

And it is good to meditate upon these things:

Psalm 1:4-6

King James Version

4 The ungodly are not so: 

but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, 

nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: 

but the way of the ungodly shall perish.


Psalm 9:7-8

King James Version

7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: 

he hath prepared his throne for judgment.

8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, 

he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.


Joel 2:1

King James Version

2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, 

and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: 

let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: 

for the day of the Lord cometh, 

for it is nigh at hand;


Matthew 7:1
