CONSIDER it a LOST cause

 

MOSES tells Israel:

Deuteronomy 7:7

King James Version

7 The Lord did not set his love upon you, 

nor choose you, 

because ye were more in number than any people; 

for ye were the fewest of all people:

The born again knows GOD's laws.

The born again respects GOD's laws.

The born again lives for GOD's laws.

Here are His laws which govern us all.

Hatred is a lost cause, as you shall see from this post:

When you know GOD's laws, you become respectful.

When He makes you born again, you become aware.

When you know the world for what it is, you become awake.

When you see how the world conducts itself, you know it is not of GOD.

When you see Israel being attacked on all fronts, you know she is so hated.

When you see people not caring, you know they don't believe in JESUS.

Every born again is made aware, through Scripture.

The WORD of GOD tells us everything we need to know.

The WORD of GOD tells us how to live.

The WORD of GOD tells us how to love.

The WORD of GOD tells us what to believe in.

The WORD of GOD tells us how to conduct ourselves.

All these, through JESUS.

Who lived what He taught.

Know this now:

Whatever happens to Israel, affects all of us.

GOD is precise:

Genesis 12:3

King James Version

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, 

and curse him that curseth thee: 

and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

How we treat Israel, boomerangs on all of us.

When we love Israel, we receive GOD's approval.

Simply because Israel is the "apple" of GOD's eye.

Zechariah 2:8

King James Version

8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; 

After the glory hath he sent me 

unto the nations which spoiled you: 

for he that toucheth you 

toucheth the apple of his eye.

The sooner we accept that, the sooner there will be peace.

Israel is not perfect, but neither is any country.

Her people do not believe JESUS is the Messiah, but neither do many in the world.

Still, GOD chose her for His perfect purpose.

Isaiah 43:21

King James Version

21 This people have I formed for myself; 

they shall shew forth my praise.

Deuteronomy 14:2

2 For thou art an holy people 

unto the Lord thy God, 

and the Lord hath chosen thee 

to be a peculiar people 

unto himself, 

above all the nations 

that are upon the earth.

1 Peter 2:9

9 But ye are a chosen generation, 

a royal priesthood, 

an holy nation, 

a peculiar people; 

that ye should shew forth the praises 

of him who hath called you 

out of darkness 

into his marvellous light;

In the same manner GOD loves us all.

Both Jew, and non-Jew.

John 3:16-17

that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world 

to condemn the world; 

but that the world through 

him might be saved.

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, 

as some men count slackness; 

but is longsuffering to us-ward, 

not willing that any should perish, 

but that all should come to repentance.

1 John 4:19

19 We love him, 

because he first loved us.

Many hate Jews because they killed CHRIST.

People's hatred for Jews cannot go on an on.

Consider it a lost cause.

All these efforts to destroy GOD's holy nation.

All these efforts to discredit her.

All these efforts to leave her to fend for herself.

Who are we to question GOD's ways?

Who are we to question GOD's word?

Who are we to question GOD's will?

Who are we to question GOD's plan?

When the truth of the matter is, GOD's will be done.

Isaiah 14:27

King James Version

27 For the Lord of hosts hath purposed, 

and who shall disannul it? 

and his hand is stretched out, 

and who shall turn it back?

The target has always been Jerusalem -- Israel's capital.

All efforts to destroy her will be futile.

It's all been prophesied.

Zechariah 12:8-9

King James Version

8 In that day shall the Lord defend 

the inhabitants of Jerusalem; 

and he that is feeble among them at that day 

shall be as David; 

and the house of David shall be as God, 

as the angel of the Lord before them.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, 

that I will seek to destroy all the nations 

that come against Jerusalem.

Israel may ignore these teachings.

The world may ignore these teachings.

But SPIRIT reminds us all.

Israel may continue to sin.

The world may continue to sin.

But SPIRIT corrects us all.

Israel may be asleep.

The world may be asleep.

But SPIRIT wakes us all.

JESUS spoke of SPIRIT's function:

John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, 

whom the Father will send in my name, 

he shall teach you all things, 

and bring all things to your remembrance, 

whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:8-12

King James Version

8 And when he is come, 

he will reprove the world of sin, 

and of righteousness, 

and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, 

and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, 

because the prince of this world 

is judged.

John 16:13-15

13 Howbeit when he, 

the Spirit of truth, is come, 

he will guide you into all truth: 

for he shall not speak of himself; 

but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: 

and he will shew you things to come.

14 He shall glorify me:

JESUS gifted us with His SPIRIT.

That we may remember.

That we may repent.

That we may love.

Why do we resist so?

Let's not be jealous.

Let's not be greedy.

Let's not be vindictive.

Let's not be proud.

Let's not be blind.

Let's not be deaf.

Let's not be indifferent.

Let's love, as GOD does.

He gave us JESUS.

That believers may be saved.

In JESUS is our salvation.

In JESUS is our hope.

In JESUS is eternal life.

Let's love all that GOD loves.

That's a good starting point.

Come to know the Bible now.

That your thoughts may be filled with light.

For we are all in darkness.

NONNEGOTIABLE gospel

 

Proverbs 30:5-6

King James Version

5 Every word of God is pure: 

he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

6 Add thou not unto his words, 

lest he reprove thee, 

and thou be found a liar.

The Bible is the ONLY source of truth.

At least, for a true born again.

We don't look to anything else.

GOD's Bible is nonnegotiable.

Merriam-Webster defines "nonnegotiable" beautifully, and precisely:

"not open to discussion or reconsideration"

The gospel of CHRIST doesn't compromise.

It can NEVER conform to the ways of the world.

It is in total opposition to it.

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, 

neither are your ways my ways, 

saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, 

so are my ways higher than your ways, 

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Scripture is holy, for it was inspired by GOD:

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, 

and is profitable for doctrine, 

for reproof, 

for correction, 

for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, 

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Scripture is holy, for GOD gave JESUS the words to speak:

Scripture is for guidance.

SPIRIT is the guide.

He teaches us JESUS' words.

He is how we got GOD's WORDS right.

COMFORT from affliction

 

Psalm 34:22

King James Version

22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: 

and none of them that trust in him 

shall be desolate.

What does affliction mean?

Who gives us comfort?

Where can we find hope from?

Who can we turn to?

First, the meaning of "affliction".

Merriam-Webster defines it as "great suffering".

That, in itself, says a lot.

Let these Psalm 34 verses give comfort to all of us:

Psalm 34:4

4 I sought the Lord, 

and he heard me, 

and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:6

King James Version

6 This poor man cried, 

and the Lord heard him, 

and saved him out of all his troubles.

Psalm 34:7

7 The angel of the Lord 

encampeth round about them that fear him, 

and delivereth them.

Psalm 34:15

King James Version

15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, 

and his ears are open unto their cry.

Psalm 34:17

17 The righteous cry, 

and the Lord heareth, 

and delivereth them 

out of all their troubles.

Psalm 34:19

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: 

but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

JESUS as PARADOX

 

Mark 2:16-17

16 And when the scribes and Pharisees 

saw him eat with publicans and sinners, 

they said unto his disciples, 

How is it that he eateth and drinketh 

with publicans and sinners?

17 When Jesus heard it, 

he saith unto them, 

They that are whole have no need of the physician, 

but they that are sick: 

I came not to call the righteous, 

but sinners to repentance.

Do those things puzzle you?

The words of CHRIST?

The way He lived His life?

The way He showed up on earth?

The way He conducted His ministry?

Wonder no more, for we shall look into it here.

Merriam-Webster defines "paradox" as:

: one (such as a person, situation, or action) having seemingly contradictory qualities or phases

: a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true

: a self-contradictory statement that at first seems true

: an argument that apparently derives self-contradictory conclusions by valid deduction from acceptable premises

: a tenet contrary to received opinion

The LORD JESUS was a mystery in Himself.

He was "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS", and yet He chose to come as an ordinary man.

Isaiah 53:2

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, 

and as a root out of a dry ground: 

he hath no form nor comeliness; 

and when we shall see him, 

there is no beauty that we should desire him.

He did not come to be ministered unto.

Mark 10:45

King James Version

45 For even the Son of man 

came not to be ministered unto, 

but to minister, 

and to give his life a ransom for many.

He took on sin, despite His not having any sin.

2 Corinthians 5:21

King James Version

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, 

who knew no sin; 

that we might be made the righteousness of God 

in him.

How about the mystery of salvation?

Such is GOD's magnificence, mystery, and magnanimity.

GOD's mysterious ways

 

Romans 11:33-36

33 O the depth of the riches 

both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! 

how unsearchable are his judgments, 

and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? 

or who hath been his counsellor?

35 Or who hath first given to him, 

and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, 

are all things: 

to whom be glory for ever. 

Amen.

One of the many early things SPIRIT taught me about GOD, are His mysterious ways.

I've come to know that, through Scripture.

Three particular instances come to mind --

Where JESUS sprung from:

Hebrews 7:13-14

13 For he of whom these things are spoken 

pertaineth to another tribe, 

of which no man gave attendance at the altar.

14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; 

of which tribe Moses spake nothing 

concerning priesthood.

Why Israel was selected:

The temporary blindness of Israel:

Romans 11:25

King James Version

25 For I would not, brethren, 

that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, 

lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; 

that blindness in part is happened to Israel, 

until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

So far, those the three mysteries reflect the ways of GOD.

Pure mystery.

In a way only GOD can judge.

But Scripture tells us why:

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, 

neither are your ways my ways, 

saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, 

so are my ways higher than your ways, 

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

So, if we are wondering why the world is the way it is, why people are the way they are, why our lives are the way it is, and if change will occur, it all serves GOD's purpose.

We pray to know His will.

What is free will?

Do we really have free will?

A born again understands well.

For we live by the Bible.

We know GOD's laws.

We know the consequences of sin.

We know the promises of CHRIST.

We know who to follow.

We know what to do.

All through the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD.

These compassionate verses from the Bible give us the power and freedom to choose:

Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
