LAW on MARRIAGE

 Genesis 2:18

King James Version

18 And the Lord God said,

It is not good that the man should be alone;

I will make him an help meet for him.

Why do people marry?

Is it necessary to marry?

What were you taught about marriage?

Are you married, or thinking of doing so?

What are your expectations on marriage?

What is your family like?

How are your parents toward each other?

How are you towards your spouse?

In a rapidly-changing world, it's important we know GOD's laws.

Who better to teach, than the LORD JESUS.

And this is what He taught us about marriage:

Matthew 19:1-6

King James Version

19 And it came to pass,

that when Jesus had finished these sayings,

he departed from Galilee,

and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

2 And great multitudes followed him;

and he healed them there.

3 The Pharisees also came unto him,

tempting him, and saying unto him,

Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife

for every cause?

4 And he answered and said unto them,

Have ye not read,

that he which made them at the beginning

made them male and female,

5 And said,

For this cause shall a man leave father and mother,

and shall cleave to his wife:

and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh.

What therefore God hath joined together,

let not man put asunder.

Mark 10:11-12

King James Version

11 And he saith unto them,

Whosoever shall put away his wife,

and marry another,

committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband,

and be married to another,

she committeth adultery.

Even as the world ignores GOD's WORD -- to its detriment, of course -- still, the Bible has much to say about the "sanctity of marriage":

Genesis 2:21-24

King James Version

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep

to fall upon Adam, and he slept:

and he took one of his ribs,

and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib,

which the Lord God had taken from man,

made he a woman,

and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said,

This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:

she shall be called Woman,

because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave

his father and his mother,

and shall cleave unto his wife:

and they shall be one flesh.

Exodus 20:14

King James Version

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Exodus 20:15

King James Version

15 Thou shalt not steal.

Exodus 20:17

King James Version

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house,

thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife,

nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,

nor his ox, nor his ass,

nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Romans 7:2-3

King James Version

2 For the woman which hath an husband

is bound by the law to her husband

so long as he liveth;

but if the husband be dead,

she is loosed from the law of her husband.

3 So then if, while her husband liveth,

she be married to another man,

she shall be called an adulteress:

but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law;

so that she is no adulteress,

though she be married to another man.

1 Corinthians 7:2-7

King James Version

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication,

let every man have his own wife,

and let every woman have her own husband.

3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence:

and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

4 The wife hath not power of her own body,

but the husband:

and likewise also the husband hath not power

of his own body, but the wife.

5 Defraud ye not one the other,

except it be with consent for a time,

that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer;

and come together again,

that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

6 But I speak this by permission,

and not of commandment.

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself.

But every man hath his proper gift of God,

one after this manner, and another after that.

1 Corinthians 7:8-9

King James Version

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows,

it is good for them if they abide even as I.

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry:

for it is better to marry than to burn.

1 Corinthians 7:10-11

King James Version

10 And unto the married I command,

yet not I, but the Lord,

Let not the wife depart from her husband:

11 But and if she depart,

let her remain unmarried

or be reconciled to her husband:

and let not the husband put away his wife.

Ephesians 5:21-33

King James Version

21 Submitting yourselves one to another

in the fear of God.

22 Wives, submit yourselves

unto your own husbands,

as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife,

even as Christ is the head of the church:

and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,

so let the wives be to their own husbands

in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives,

even as Christ also loved the church,

and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it

with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church,

not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing;

but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies.

He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh;

but nourisheth and cherisheth it,

even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body,

of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave

his father and mother,

and shall be joined unto his wife,

and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery:

but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular

so love his wife even as himself;

and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

1 Timothy 5:8

King James Version

8 But if any provide not for his own,

and specially for those of his own house,

he hath denied the faith,

and is worse than an infidel.

Hebrews 13:4

King James Version

4 Marriage is honourable in all,

and the bed undefiled:

but whoremongers and adulterers

God will judge.

1 Peter 3:1-6

King James Version

3 Likewise, ye wives,

be in subjection to your own husbands;

that, if any obey not the word,

they also may without the word be won

by the conversation of the wives;

2 While they behold your chaste conversation

coupled with fear.

3 Whose adorning let it not be

that outward adorning of plaiting the hair,

and of wearing of gold,

or of putting on of apparel;

4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart,

in that which is not corruptible,

even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,

which is in the sight of God of great price.

5 For after this manner in the old time

the holy women also, who trusted in God,

adorned themselves,

being in subjection unto their own husbands:

6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham,

calling him lord:

whose daughters ye are,

as long as ye do well,

and are not afraid with any amazement.

1 Peter 3:7

King James Version

7 Likewise, ye husbands,

dwell with them according to knowledge,

giving honour unto the wife,

as unto the weaker vessel,

and as being heirs together of the grace of life;

that your prayers be not hindered.

1 Peter 3:8-12

King James Version

8 Finally, be ye all of one mind,

having compassion one of another,

love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing:

but contrariwise blessing;

knowing that ye are thereunto called,

that ye should inherit a blessing.

10 For he that will love life, and see good days,

let him refrain his tongue from evil,

and his lips that they speak no guile:

11 Let him eschew evil, and do good;

let him seek peace, and ensue it.

12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous,

and his ears are open unto their prayers:

but the face of the Lord is against them

that do evil.

1 Timothy 3:1-5

King James Version

3 This is a true saying,

if a man desire the office of a bishop,

he desireth a good work.

2 A bishop then must be blameless,

the husband of one wife,

vigilant, sober, of good behaviour,

given to hospitality, apt to teach;

3 Not given to wine, no striker,

not greedy of filthy lucre;

but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

4 One that ruleth well his own house,

having his children in subjection with all gravity;

5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house,

how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Man can debate all he wants.

Trying to get around GOD's law.

Not possible, for it is the NONNEGOTIABLE gospel.

GOD's WORD stands.

By it we are blessed, or doomed.

Depending on our obedience, or disobedience.

Depending on our belief, or unbelief.

A born again always looks to GOD's law.

That we understand, follow, and share His WORD.

We must be acceptable in GOD's eyes.

As we go through this series, we shall find out why.

Next, we turn to the LAW on DIVORCE.

BEING on TRACK

 The LORD GOD commanded:

Exodus 20:3

King James Version

3 Thou shalt have no other gods

before me.

GOD was clear.

We are not to worship other gods.

But why is that so hard for others to accept?

Hasn't GOD shown enough of His love, through JESUS?

What makes man so unfaithful to our LORD?

Why is man swayed to worship other gods?

Especially the gods of gold, silver, and self.

Causing many of us to sin, stumble, and perish.

It is actually a puzzle to me, all this disobedience in man.

The hardness of the heart, the stubbornness of the soul.

The wily will, the rebellious reasoning, the envious ego.

When GOD made me born again, I made that 180-degree turn.

There was no question about following GOD, totally.

In complete love, joy, and faithfulness.

Aiming to learn all about His laws.

Dedicating each day to Him.

The next step was purging my heart, home, and work, of all things not of GOD.

Then I turned to JESUS, the Bible, and SPIRIT.

All HOLY Three started teaching me what pleases GOD.

In the same manner, I got to know what displeases GOD.

It just follows, I turned away from things that displeased Him.

This approach is almost childlike in its simplicity.

Why would I want the LORD to grieve, unnecessarily?

Now that I know His laws, why would I want to sin again?

JESUS already offered His life, for us.

Hebrews 10:26

King James Version

26 For if we sin wilfully

after that we have received

the knowledge of the truth,

there remaineth no more sacrifice

for sins,

SPIRIT keeps me on track.

He is MASTER TEACHER.

The One JESUS prayed for.

To guide us each day.

Until He returns.

Without SPIRIT, I wouldn't understand the Bible at all.

It is SPIRIT that makes things clear, simple, and easy for me.

I value His presence each moment, so I don't stray.

And it's so delightful being taught Scripture by SPIRIT.

He opens so many doors each time I inquire.

He knows when your heart is true.

He will give you TONS of answers.

Which only Scripture can provide.

Scripture holds GOD's laws, and commands.

It is SPIRIT Who makes things plain.

It's a wonderful way to live -- by the Bible.

You know your purpose.

And destiny.

The Bible tells us everything we need to know about GOD.

Everything about JESUS, repentance, and salvation.

Everything about prophecies, the Rapture, and Tribulation.

Everything about prophets, apostles, and disciples.

Everything about being born again.

Everything about the New Jerusalem.

All our blogs tell you more.

For the hungry soul, the BREAD of LIFE that is JESUS, will fill our hearts with His TRUTH.

For the thirsty spirit, the LIVING WATERS that is GOD, will make us thirst no more.

For the confused mind, the CHRIST MIND clarifies everything.

It is easy being on track, through SPIRIT.

He gives you discipline, order, heart, awareness, and gratitude.

He organizes your life, work, and Scripture studies.

He teaches you to love, as JESUS did.

He teaches you awareness, for the LORD's commands.

He teaches you gratitude, for GOD's love, mercy, and kindness.

All make sense when you are with SPIRIT.

Even as He actually lives in you -- as a child of GOD.

SPIRIT and I walk together.

And this is what happens:

Galatians 5:16-18

King James Version

16 This I say then,

Walk in the Spirit,

and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,

and the Spirit against the flesh:

and these are contrary the one to the other:

so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit,

ye are not under the law.

Galatians 5:22-23

King James Version

22 But the fruit of the Spirit

is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,

gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance:

against such there is no law.

Galatians 5:24-26

King James Version

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified

the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit,

let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory,

provoking one another, envying one another.

Make that choice now.

To belong to JESUS.

To be taught by SPIRIT.

And to really know GOD, through Both.

The Rapture awaits the saved.

Eternal life awaits the believer.

The choice is really pretty easy.

SCRIPTURE on LIBERTY

 Psalm 119:45

King James Version

45 And I will walk at liberty:

for I seek thy precepts.

Has the world given us true liberty?

Or are we always in bondage to something?

What is liberty?

We learn from Merriam-Webster that it is:

"a state of being free"

What does "freedom" mean?

What is true freedom?

What are its qualities?

Is it awarded?

Is it given?

Is it a gift?

What does the Bible say?

As born again, we turn to Scripture.

With SPIRIT making things clear:

Romans 6:22-23

King James Version

22 But now being made free from sin,

and become servants to God,

ye have your fruit unto holiness,

and the end everlasting life.

23 For the wages of sin is death;

but the gift of God

is eternal life

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:12

King James Version

12 All things are lawful unto me,

but all things are not expedient:

all things are lawful for me,

but I will not be brought

under the power of any.

Galatians 5:13

King James Version

13 For, brethren,

ye have been called unto liberty;

only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh,

but by love serve one another.

James 1:25

King James Version

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty,

and continueth therein,

he being not a forgetful hearer,

but a doer of the work,

this man shall be blessed in his deed.

1 Peter 2:16

King James Version

16 As free,

and not using your liberty

for a cloke of maliciousness,

but as the servants of God.

The SOURCE of FREEDOM?

It's always been JESUS.

Psalm 34:19

King James Version

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:

but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

Psalm 68:6

King James Version

6 God setteth the solitary in families:

he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:

but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

Psalm 79:9-11

King James Version

9 Help us,

O God of our salvation,

for the glory of thy name:

and deliver us,

and purge away our sins,

for thy name's sake.

10 Wherefore should the heathen say,

Where is their God?

let him be known among the heathen in our sight

by the revenging of the blood of thy servants

which is shed.

11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee;

according to the greatness of thy power

preserve thou those that are appointed to die;

Psalm 97:10

King James Version

10 Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:

he preserveth the souls of his saints;

he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Isaiah 61:1-2

King James Version

61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;

because the Lord hath anointed me

to preach good tidings unto the meek;

he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives,

and the opening of the prison

to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,

and the day of vengeance of our God;

to comfort all that mourn;

Luke 4:16-21

King James Version

16 And he came to Nazareth,

where he had been brought up:

and, as his custom was,

he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day,

and stood up for to read.

17 And there was delivered unto him

the book of the prophet Esaias.

And when he had opened the book,

he found the place where it was written,

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

because he hath anointed me

to preach the gospel to the poor;

he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,

to preach deliverance to the captives,

and recovering of sight to the blind,

to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

20 And he closed the book,

and he gave it again to the minister,

and sat down.

And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue

were fastened on him.

21 And he began to say unto them,

This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

John 8:31-32

King James Version

31 Then said Jesus

to those Jews which believed on him,

If ye continue in my word,

then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth,

and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36

King James Version

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free,

ye shall be free indeed.

Acts 13:38-39

King James Version

38 Be it known unto you therefore,

men and brethren,

that through this man is preached unto you

the forgiveness of sins:

39 And by him all that believe

are justified from all things,

from which ye could not be justified

by the law of Moses.

Romans 8:1-4

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation

to them which are in Christ Jesus,

who walk not after the flesh,

but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus

hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do,

in that it was weak through the flesh,

God sending his own Son

in the likeness of sinful flesh,

and for sin,

condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law

might be fulfilled in us,

who walk not after the flesh,

but after the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17

King James Version

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:

and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

there is liberty.

Galatians 5:1

King James Version

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty

wherewith Christ hath made us free,

and be not entangled again

with the yoke of bondage.

Knowing all these, we ask ourselves:

Do we have liberty?

Do we walk feeling "free"?

Does the world represent "freedom"?

Has the world promoted, and preserved, freedom?

Most of all, does the world honor the LORD JESUS?

We really have much to think about.

CONFIDENCE in CHRIST

Galatians 3:26

King James Version

26 For ye are all the children of God

by faith in Christ Jesus.

What makes the believer confident in CHRIST?

What makes us trust in the LORD JESUS?

What promises does the LORD have for His faithful?

What makes us give up everything for the LORD?

What words from GOD give us real hope in this world?

What hope do we have in the future?

What delights us about JESUS?

Here's what SPIRIT and Scripture say our confidence comes from.

Let these fill your heart with the LORD's presence, and promise.

Creating peace, love, joy, and contentment in you:

Psalm 90:2

King James Version

2 Before the mountains were brought forth,

or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world,

even from everlasting to everlasting,

thou art God.

Proverbs 3:25-26

King James Version

25 Be not afraid of sudden fear,

neither of the desolation of the wicked,

when it cometh.

26 For the Lord shall be thy confidence,

and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Ecclesiastes 7:13-14

King James Version

13 Consider the work of God:

for who can make that straight,

which he hath made crooked?

14 In the day of prosperity be joyful,

but in the day of adversity consider:

God also hath set the one over against the other,

to the end that man should find nothing after him.

Jeremiah 17:7-8

King James Version

7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,

and whose hope the Lord is.

8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,

and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,

and shall not see when heat cometh,

but her leaf shall be green;

and shall not be careful in the year of drought,

neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Matthew 7:29

King James Version

29 For he taught them as one having authority,

and not as the scribes.

John 3:16-17

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world

to condemn the world;

but that the world through him

might be saved.

John 5:24

King James Version

24 Verily, verily, I say unto you,

He that heareth my word,

and believeth on him that sent me,

hath everlasting life,

and shall not come into condemnation;

but is passed from death unto life.

John 14:26

King James Version

26 But the Comforter,

which is the Holy Ghost,

whom the Father will send in my name,

he shall teach you all things,

and bring all things to your remembrance,

whatsoever I have said unto you.

Romans 10:13

King James Version

13 For whosoever shall call

upon the name of the Lord

shall be saved.

Colossians 2:2-3

King James Version

2 That their hearts might be comforted,

being knit together in love,

and unto all riches

of the full assurance of understanding,

to the acknowledgement

of the mystery of God,

and of the Father,

and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid

all the treasures of wisdom

and knowledge.

Hebrews 3:14

King James Version

14 For we are made partakers of Christ,

if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast

unto the end;

Hebrews 4:14-16

King James Version

14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest,

that is passed into the heavens,

Jesus the Son of God,

let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest

which cannot be touched

with the feeling of our infirmities;

but was in all points tempted like as we are,

yet without sin.

16 Let us therefore come boldly

unto the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy,

and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 10:19-22

King James Version

19 Having therefore, brethren,

boldness to enter into the holiest

by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way,

which he hath consecrated for us,

through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart

in full assurance of faith,

having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,

and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 11:1-3

King James Version

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3 Through faith we understand

that the worlds were framed by the word of God,

so that things which are seen

were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 13:5-6

King James Version

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness;

and be content with such things as ye have:

for he hath said,

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

6 So that we may boldly say,

The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear

what man shall do unto me.

1 John 2:27-28

King James Version

27 But the anointing

which ye have received of him abideth in you,

and ye need not that any man teach you:

but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things,

and is truth, and is no lie,

and even as it hath taught you,

ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him;

that, when he shall appear,

we may have confidence,

and not be ashamed before him

at his coming.

1 John 3:21-23

King James Version

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not,

then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,

because we keep his commandments,

and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment,

That we should believe

on the name of his Son Jesus Christ,

and love one another,

as he gave us commandment.

1 John 5:14-15

King James Version

14 And this is the confidence that we have in him,

that, if we ask any thing according to his will,

he heareth us:

15 And if we know that he hear us,

whatsoever we ask,

we know that we have the petitions

that we desired of him.

Revelation 21:1-3

King James Version

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;

and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,

Behold,

the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them,

and they shall be his people,

and God himself shall be with them,

and be their God.

Revelation 21:4-5

King James Version

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,

nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said,

Behold,

I make all things new.

And he said unto me, Write:

for these words are true and faithful.

Revelation 21:6-7

King James Version

6 And he said unto me,

It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega,

the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is athirst

of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things;

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 22:1-2

King James Version

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life,

clear as crystal,

proceeding out of the throne of God

and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it,

and on either side of the river,

was there the tree of life,

which bare twelve manner of fruits,

and yielded her fruit every month:

and the leaves of the tree

were for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 22:3-4

King James Version

3 And there shall be no more curse:

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it;

and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face;

and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Revelation 22:5

King James Version

5 And there shall be no night there;

and they need no candle, neither light of the sun;

for the Lord God giveth them light:

and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 22:12-13

King James Version

12 And, behold, I come quickly;

and my reward is with me,

to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega,

the beginning and the end,

the first and the last.

Nothing like Scripture to give us REAL hope.

Through the spiritual; not the physical.

In CHRIST; not the world.

I thank SPIRIT, Who led me to these sources.

Which made it quite easy to create this post.
