Ephesians 2:2

2 Wherein in time past 

ye walked according to the course of this world, 

according to the prince of the power of the air, 

the spirit that now worketh 

in the children of disobedience:

Is there such a thing?

The walking dead?

Oh yes, very much so!

Why are we obsessed with zombie films?

We are all zombies.

All living dead.

UNLESS, and UNTIL, we are saved.

Wherein we believe in JESUS.

We come to life.

For these reasons:

Romans 8:5-8

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind 

the things of the flesh; 

but they that are after the Spirit 

the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded is death; 

but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: 

for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:13

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: 

but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body,

We are zombies, because of sin.

We need to be born again,

That GOD's SPIRIT may be in us.

John 3:3-7

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again, 

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, 

How can a man be born when he is old? 

can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, 

and be born?

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, 

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; 

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Romans 8:10

10 And if Christ be in you, 

the body is dead because of sin; 

but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

A born again becomes a new creature in CHRIST.

2 Corinthians 5:17

King James Version

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, 

he is a new creature: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, all things are become new.

Believers will have a new, glorified body.

Right now, we are in flesh.

But one day, we will have a spiritual body.

When we are resurrected by CHRIST.

JESUS was raised from the dead.

Believers will experience that, too.

How are the dead raised up? 

and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, 

that which thou sowest is not quickened,

GOD is a LIVING GOD.

We, in the flesh, are dead from sin.

We need JESUS, that we may live.

And have ETERNAL LIFE.

The BATTLE for the MIND

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, 

we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, 

but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, 

and every high thing that exalteth itself 

against the knowledge of God, 

and bringing into captivity every thought 

to the obedience of Christ;

There's a real spiritual battle going on.

We are bombarded, right and left, by the ruler of the world.

He keeps us really busy, with things of the world.

The lusts of the flesh.

The desire to acquire.

The desire to dominate.

The obsession with vanity.

The enemy keeps us from GOD.

He wants us to blaspheme the LORD.

He wants us to think nothing of the crucifixion of CHRIST.

When all that matters is JESUS, Who saved us from our sins:

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, 

save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Let us focus on the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST:

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3 For I delivered unto you first of all 

that which I also received, 

how that Christ died for our sins 

according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, 

and that he rose again the third day 

according to the scriptures:

So we'd be shamefaced about allowing sin into our lives.

Which inflame our senses, our bodies, our spirits.

Keeping us ripe for eternal damnation.

Here's how the spiritual battle looks like:

Romans 7:23

23 But I see another law in my members, 

warring against the law of my mind, 

and bringing me into captivity 

to the law of sin which is in my members.

The world is legendary for keeping our minds occupied in sin.

JESUS died, that we may be saved from our sins.

There is a way to keep the world from stuffing our brains with junk.

For it's a battle for the mind.

For total control over our thoughts.

Our feelings, our emotions.

Our decisions.

Over our whole life.

Capturing our very souls.

Demons mess with our mind.

To conquer, we must have the mind of CHRIST.

Isaiah 26:3

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, 

whose mind is stayed on thee: 

because he trusteth in thee.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, 

that he may instruct him? 

but we have the mind of Christ.

Let's put on the FULL ARMOR of GOD.

And make a stand for JESUS.

To be born again, of water, and of the SPIRIT.

That SPIRIT may instruct us.

Not to serve GOD, is to serve the devil.

BODY of CLEARNESS

 

1 Corinthians 15:52-53

52 In a moment, 

in the twinkling of an eye, 

at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, 

and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, 

and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption,

This is fourth in the "citizenship in heaven" series.

This time, we talk about the LORD's glorified body, and how He will transform our vile bodies.
