Deuteronomy 14:2
King James Version
2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God,
and the Lord hath chosen thee
to be a peculiar people unto himself,
above all the nations that are upon the earth.
Why does Israel matter?
In GOD's plan, all our lives, all our nations, are linked to her.
Genesis 12:3
King James Version
3 And I will bless them that bless thee,
and curse him that curseth thee:
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
This embattled nation, has battled within herself, against God, against others, for the longest time.
Then one day, Isaiah saw a vision of the LORD:
Isaiah 6:1

6 In the year that king Uzziah died
I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne,
high and lifted up,
and his train filled the temple.
And God asked:
Isaiah 6:8

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord,
saying,
Whom shall I send,
and who will go for us?
From which, Isaiah volunteered:
Isaiah 6:8

Then said I,
Here am I; send me.
Just as well, for God had a plan.
Isaiah 6:9-10

9 And he said,
Go,
and tell this people,
Hear ye indeed, but understand not;
and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat,
and make their ears heavy,
and shut their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their heart,
and convert,
and be healed.
The veiling was for a purpose.
Prophet Isaiah wondered how long this would take.
Isaiah 6:11

11 Then said I,
Lord, how long?
And he answered,
Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant,
and the houses without man,
and the land be utterly desolate,
For the Lord had specific plans for this stubborn nation.
He always does, for those who defy Him.
Isaiah 6:12

12 And the Lord have removed men far away,
and there be a great forsaking
in the midst of the land.
With the coming apart, is the coming together.
All, in fulfillment of God's plan.
Isaiah 6:13
King James Version
13 But yet in it shall be a tenth,
and it shall return,
and shall be eaten:
as a teil tree,
and as an oak,
whose substance is in them,
when they cast their leaves:
so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
And today, how is it for Israel?
Romans 11:8
King James Version
8 (According as it is written,
God hath given them the spirit of slumber,
eyes that they should not see,
and ears that they should not hear;)
unto this day.
And what is our role -- as Gentiles -- in the prophecy on the Jewish nation?
Romans 11:11
King James Version
11 I say then,
Have they stumbled that they should fall?
God forbid:
but rather through their fall
salvation is come unto the Gentiles,
for to provoke them to jealousy.
All of us -- Jew, and Gentile -- are being given a chance to get right with the Lord.
Romans 11:25
King James Version
25 For I would not,
brethren,
that ye should be ignorant of this mystery,
lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel,
until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Israel will have a Deliverer.
Romans 11:26
King James Version
26 And so all Israel shall be saved:
as it is written,
There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
This Deliverer has come, but was rejected, and slain.
1 Corinthians 1:23

23 But we preach Christ crucified,
unto the Jews a stumblingblock,
and unto the Greeks foolishness;
The future of Israel, as the holy nation of God, hinges upon what the LORD JESUS said:
Matthew 23:39
King James Version
39 For I say unto you,
Ye shall not see me henceforth,
till ye shall say,
Blessed is he
that cometh in the name of the Lord.
The plan thickens.
All this unbelief, is for GOD's purpose.
Romans 11:32
King James Version
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief,
that he might have mercy upon all.
With pride, comes the fall.
With fall, comes a humbling.
With humbling, comes repentance.
With repentance, comes salvation.
God's plan is so very sound.
So very full of love, mercy, grace, and patience.
And very exact.
Romans 11:1-5

of the seed of Abraham,
of the tribe of Benjamin.

according to the election of grace.
There is a remnant.

Matthew 2:1-2

And what if you're not a believer, a born again, or a lover of Jews?
God's will be done.
Truly, there is no getting around it.
