King James Version
9 But as it is written,
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared
for them that love him.
As we have questions for the Bible, the Bible also asks us questions.
Demanding satisfactory answers.
Aghast that we have not known.
Challenging our norms.
Stretching our thinking.
Causing us to ponder upon them.
As can be seen from TWO striking sets of verses.
Which were coursed through prophets and apostles:
Isaiah 40:28
King James Version
28 Hast thou not known?
hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God,
the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding.
1 Corinthians 6:19
King James Version
19 What?
know ye not that your body
is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,
which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own?
And we'd better come up with satisfactory answers.
And not lie, bluff, or fabricate.
For GOD sees, and knows.
Every heart.
Genesis 6:5
King James Version
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart
was only evil continually.
Psalm 14:2
King James Version
2 The Lord looked down from heaven
upon the children of men,
to see if there were any that did understand,
and seek God.
John 2:24-25
King James Version
24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them,
because he knew all men,
25 And needed not that any should testify of man:
for he knew what was in man.
