King James Version
3 Whose adorning let it not be
that outward adorning of plaiting the hair,
and of wearing of gold,
or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart,
in that which is not corruptible,
even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit,
which is in the sight of God of great price.
When I was in my early 20s, I was an impressionable young woman.
I was sponsored by a Philippine-based Asian magazine for executives to attend a two-day seminar on success for women.
The presenter was a Singapore-based lady, with a lovely British accent.
She looked chic, calm, and collected.
Even if her calves strained at her high heels.
She carried her persona with aplomb.
But that was many decades ago.
I've changed since.
Especially since GOD made me born again.
And sent His SPIRIT to instruct me regarding Scripture.
How INVALUABLE the lessons were!
No human wisdom can compare.
No worldly reward can surpass.
As workman, and writer for SPIRIT, I'd like to share with you several posts SPIRIT and I worked on, to explore right womanhood.
ENDING the PREOCCUPATION with SELF
In the end, that's really all that matters.
That we are acceptable in the LORD's eyes.
We must be holy.
