WHO are the SAINTS?

Revelation 5:8

King James Version

8 And when he had taken the book,

the four beasts and four and twenty elders

fell down before the Lamb,

having every one of them harps,

and golden vials full of odours,

which are the prayers of saints.

Who are the saints?

What does the Bible say about them?

The HOLY SPIRIT led me to these verses.

SAINTS keep the commandments of GOD.

Revelation 14:12

King James Version

12 Here is the patience of the saints:

here are they that keep the commandments of God,

and the faith of Jesus.

SAINTS give thanks to the LORD.

Psalm 30:4

King James Version

4 Sing unto the Lord,

O ye saints of his,

and give thanks

at the remembrance of his holiness.

SAINTS are sanctified in CHRIST JESUS.

1 Corinthians 1:2

King James Version

2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth

to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus,

called to be saints,

with all that in every place

call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord

both their's and our's:

SAINTS belong to the CHURCH of GOD.

1 Corinthians 14:33

King James Version

33 For God is not the author of confusion,

but of peace,

as in all churches of the saints.

SAINTS' prayers are offered to the GOLDEN ALTAR of GOD.

Revelation 8:3

King James Version

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar,

having a golden censer;

and there was given unto him much incense,

that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints

upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

SAINTS' prayers go up to GOD.

Revelation 8:4

King James Version

4 And the smoke of the incense,

which came with the prayers of the saints,

ascended up before God

out of the angel's hand.

SAINTS are interceded for by JESUS, the MEDIATOR.

Romans 8:27

King James Version

27 And he that searcheth the hearts

knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,

because he maketh intercession for the saints

according to the will of God.

SAINTS work for the MINISTRY of CHRIST.

Ephesians 4:12

King James Version

12 For the perfecting of the saints,

for the work of the ministry,

for the edifying of the body of Christ:

SAINTS rose with JESUS after His RESURRECTION.

Matthew 27:50-53

King James Version

50 Jesus,

when he had cried again with a loud voice,

yielded up the ghost.

51 And, behold,

the veil of the temple was rent in twain

from the top to the bottom;

and the earth did quake,

and the rocks rent;

52 And the graves were opened;

and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection,

and went into the holy city,

and appeared unto many.

SAINTS of the MOST HIGH will possess the kingdom forever.

Daniel 7:18

King James Version

18 But the saints of the most High

shall take the kingdom,

and possess the kingdom for ever,

even for ever and ever.

SAINTS will suffer for a while, until the ANCIENT of DAYS makes judgment.

Daniel 7:21-22

King James Version

21 I beheld,

and the same horn made war with the saints,

and prevailed against them;

22 Until the Ancient of days came,

and judgment was given to the saints of the most High;

and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Daniel 7:25-27

King James Version

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High,

and shall wear out the saints of the most High,

and think to change times and laws:

and they shall be given into his hand

until a time and times

and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit,

and they shall take away his dominion,

to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion,

and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven,

shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High,

whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

SAINTS will be preserved by GOD forever.

Psalm 37:28

King James Version

28 For the Lord loveth judgment,

and forsaketh not his saints;

they are preserved for ever

but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

SAINTS receive and help others, in the LORD.

Romans 16:1-2

King James Version

16 I commend unto you Phebe our sister,

which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

2 That ye receive her in the Lord,

as becometh saints,

and that ye assist her

in whatsoever business she hath need of you

for she hath been a succourer of many,

and of myself also.

SAINTS' death is precious in the eyes of the LORD.

Psalm 116:15

King James Version

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord

is the death of his saints.

SAINTS fear the LORD.

Psalm 34:9

King James Version

9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints:

for there is no want to them that fear him.

SAINTS are pure, in body, mind, and spirit.

Ephesians 5:3

King James Version

3 But fornication,

and all uncleanness,

or covetousness,

let it not be once named among you,

as becometh saints;

SAINTS will accompany GOD when the DAY of the LORD comes.

Zechariah 14:5

King James Version

5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains;

for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal:

yea, ye shall flee,

like as ye fled from before the earthquake

in the days of Uzziah king of Judah

and the Lord my God shall come,

and all the saints with thee.
