Matthew 3:11

11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance.
but he that cometh after me is mightier than I,
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:
he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost,
and with fire:
Strange thing happened.
After I shared again a previous post, on the "Facets of the Holy Spirit" last night, more thoughts of SPIRIT came in a dream that woke me up this morning, compelling me to write this post.
The FIRE from the HOLY SPIRIT cannot be quenched, for JESUS baptizes His faithful with it.
And so, we shall tell you about what discernment is.
1 Corinthians 2:14
King James Version
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
We need discernment, for the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:14-16
King James Version
14 Wherefore he saith,
Awake thou that sleepest,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly,
not as fools,
but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time,
because the days are evil.
JESUS warned us about deception, several times.
Matthew 24:4-5

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them,
Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name,
saying,
I am Christ;
and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:11-12
King James Version
11 And many false prophets shall rise,
and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound,
the love of many shall wax cold.
Matthew 24:23-24
King James Version
23 Then if any man shall say unto you,
Lo, here is Christ,
or there;
believe it not.
24 For there shall arise false Christs,
and false prophets,
and shall shew great signs and wonders;
insomuch that,
if it were possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.
How not to be deceived?
Be anointed by the SPIRIT of GOD.
Be sealed by His Spirit, as born again.
JESUS commanded we be born again.
That we may be of SPIRIT.
John 3:5-7

5 Jesus answered,
Verily, verily,
I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.
ONLY by being born again, can we understand things of the SPIRIT.
ONLY by being born again, can we have spiritual discernment.
ONLY by being born again, can we understand the BIBLE.
As a child would.
JESUS asked we be like children.
Matthew 18:3

3 And said,
Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Only with an open heart, with childlike faith, can we begin to understand GOD, and LOVE Him.
Psalm 8:2
King James Version
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings
hast thou ordained strength
because of thine enemies,
that thou mightest still the enemy
and the avenger.
The very same verse, quoted by JESUS, too.
Matthew 21:16
King James Version
16 And said unto him,
Hearest thou what these say?
And Jesus saith unto them,
Yea;
have ye never read,
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings
thou hast perfected praise?
As born again, with childlike faith, you will marvel at how easily you will understand Scripture.
You will LOVE LIVING BY the BIBLE.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof,
for correction,
for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect,
thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Only by knowing GOD's laws, and living by it, can we be holy.
Leviticus 19:1-2

19 And the Lord spake unto Moses,
saying,
2 Speak unto all the congregation
of the children of Israel,
and say unto them,
Ye shall be holy:
for I the Lord your God am holy.
Again, the LORD JESUS supports His FATHER's command.
Matthew 5:48

48 Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father
which is in heaven
is perfect.
For He only obeys the WILL of the FATHER, at ALL times.
John 5:30

30 I can of mine own self do nothing:
as I hear,
I judge:
and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own will,
but the will of the Father
which hath sent me.
We need to be perfect, and holy, for at a moment of GOD's choosing, we shall meet JESUS up in the air.
We cannot do so, with corrupted hearts, and bodies.
1 Corinthians 15:50

50 Now this I say,
brethren,
that flesh and blood
cannot inherit the kingdom of God;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
The SPIRIT of GOD will come upon you, when your heart is true.
When you really want to change.
When you really desire to LOVE GOD.
When you are tired of the old self, and SEEK GOD, with all your heart.
When you ask for forgiveness, for your spiritual blindness.
When you surrender, TOTALLY, to the LORD's wisdom.
The LORD JESUS declared the importance of repentance, in these last days:
Mark 1:15

The time is fulfilled,
and the kingdom of God is at hand:
repent ye,
and believe the gospel.
And this is the simple GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3 For I delivered unto you first of all
that which I also received,
how that Christ died for our sins
according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures:
GOD doesn't want anyone to perish.
2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
That's why He sent His SON.
John 3:16
King James Version
16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
How much longer will you remain in your old ways?
How much longer will the world's ways fascinate you?
How much longer will you be addicted to things of the world?
Only THROUGH JESUS, can we be saved.
Matthew 28:18

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them,
saying,
All power is given unto me
in heaven and in earth.
Luke 5:32
King James Version
32 I came not to call the righteous,
but sinners to repentance.
Luke 19:10
King James Version
10 For the Son of man is come to seek
and to save that which was lost.
Only THROUGH JESUS can we be given the HOLY SPIRIT.
Only THROUGH JESUS can we have the GIFT of DISCERNMENT.
JESUS is preparing a mansion for us.
John 14:1-4

14 Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God, believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so,
I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again,
and receive you unto myself;
that where I am,
there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know,
and the way ye know.
JESUS will give us eternal life.
Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
JESUS will be with His faithful, to the end.
Matthew 28:20

20 Teaching them to observe all things
whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo,
I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world.
