STRENGTH in the MIDST of GRIEF

Psalm 147:3

King James Version

3 He healeth the broken in heart,

and bindeth up their wounds.

Have you known death, in the family?

Have you experienced death, up close?

Has someone died, in your arms?

Have you devoted your life to someone, because they depended on you, for love, and care, only to be taken up to God, eventually?

All these, I've experienced most recently.

Mercifully, I had been studying the Bible in the last 25 months, as born again, being guided each day, by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD.

Had I not known the WORD of GOD, I'd have fallen apart.

Only through God's promise of eternal life, and His love for my baby sister, keeps me going.

I must go on, that her many sacrifices would be honored.

All who have known death, would understand the pain of having a beloved member of the family, re-join GOD.

It will test your faith.

It will make you look into God's ways.

This post is for all who have lost loved ones, who are afraid to lose loved ones, or those who fear for the future.

Let JESUS give us the strength we need.

For anything that may go our way.

Be it in life, or in death.

John 14:16-17

King James Version

16 And I will pray the Father,

and he shall give you another Comforter,

that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth;

whom the world cannot receive,

because it seeth him not,

neither knoweth him

but ye know him;

for he dwelleth with you,

and shall be in you.

Matthew 5:4

King James Version

4 Blessed are they that mourn:

for they shall be comforted.

John 6:37-40

King James Version

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me;

and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven,

not to do mine own will,

but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me,

that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing,

but should raise it up again at the last day.

40 And this is the will of him that sent me,

that every one which seeth the Son,

and believeth on him,

may have everlasting life:

and I will raise him up at the last day.

Luke 9:23

King James Version

23 And he said to them all,

If any man will come after me,

let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily,

and follow me.

Matthew 11:28-30

King James Version

28 Come unto me,

all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you,

and learn of me;

for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy,

and my burden is light.

Isaiah 40:29

King James Version

29 He giveth power to the faint;

and to them that have no might

he increaseth strength.

Isaiah 40:28-31

King James Version

28 Hast thou not known?

hast thou not heard,

that the everlasting God,

the Lord,

the Creator of the ends of the earth,

fainteth not,

neither is weary

there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint;

and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,

and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;

they shall mount up with wings as eagles;

they shall run, and not be weary;

and they shall walk, and not faint.

1 Chronicles 16:11

King James Version

11 Seek the Lord and his strength,

seek his face continually.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

King James Version

9 And he said unto me,

My grace is sufficient for thee:

for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,

that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities,

in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions,

in distresses for Christ's sake

for when I am weak,

then am I strong.

Psalm 73:26

King James Version

26 My flesh and my heart faileth:

but God is the strength of my heart,

and my portion for ever.

Psalm 31:24

King James Version

24 Be of good courage,

and he shall strengthen your heart,

all ye that hope in the Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7

King James Version

3 Blessed be God,

even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of mercies,

and the God of all comfort;

4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,

that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble,

by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us,

so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

6 And whether we be afflicted,

it is for your consolation and salvation,

which is effectual in the enduring

of the same sufferings which we also suffer:

or whether we be comforted,

it is for your consolation and salvation.

7 And our hope of you is stedfast,

knowing,

that as ye are partakers of the sufferings,

so shall ye be also of the consolation.

Philippians 4:6

King James Version

6 Be careful for nothing;

but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving

let your requests be made known unto God.

Philippians 4:13

King James Version

13 I can do all things through Christ

which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:7

King James Version

7 And the peace of God,

which passeth all understanding,

shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 4:19

King James Version

19 Wherefore let them that suffer

according to the will of God

commit the keeping of their souls

to him in well doing,

as unto a faithful Creator.

James 1:5

King James Version

5 If any of you lack wisdom,

let him ask of God,

that giveth to all men liberally,

and upbraideth not;

and it shall be given him.

Proverbs 2:6

King James Version

6 For the Lord giveth wisdom:

out of his mouth cometh knowledge

and understanding.

Romans 11:33

King James Version

33 O the depth of the riches

both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

how unsearchable are his judgments,

and his ways past finding out!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

King James Version

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Revelation 21:4-5

King James Version

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death,

neither sorrow,

nor crying,

neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said

Behold, I make all things new

And he said unto me

Write:

for these words are true and faithful.
