GOD's LOVE for us:
John 3:16
King James Version
16 For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
This article follows closely, from the previous one.
Wherein the LORD JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT, and my baby sis taught me the MOST PRECIOUS thing in the world:
To love, with no thought of gain.
And, who comes to mind, but the LORD JESUS.
Who was obedient to the Father's will, to the end.
Luke 22:41-44
King James Version
41 And he was withdrawn from them
about a stone's cast,
and kneeled down,
and prayed,
42 Saying,
Father,
if thou be willing,
remove this cup from me:
nevertheless not my will,
but thine,
be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven,
strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly:
and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood
falling down to the ground.
Suffering shame, humiliation, and death, that Scripture may be fulfilled.
At any given time, He could have called on legions of angels, in His defense, as the mob took hold of Him.
Matthew 26:53-54
King James Version
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,
and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled,
that thus it must be?
The sinless SON of GOD, took on flesh, that we may be saved from our sins.
1 Peter 2:21-25
King James Version
21 For even hereunto were ye called:
because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example,
that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin,
neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who,
when he was reviled,
reviled not again;
when he suffered,
he threatened not;
but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,
that we,
being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness:
by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 For ye were as sheep going astray;
but are now returned unto the Shepherd
and Bishop of your souls.
The SON of GOD, who had power over everything, called upon no one to save Him, for He was here to save.
Ephesians 1:21-23
King James Version
21 Far above all principality,
and power,
and might,
and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this world,
but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet,
and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body,
the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Can we carry our cross, and follow Him?
Can we not be embittered by life, and instead, seek Him?
Can we pray, and draw strength from the LORD, that we may be of real service to Him, and others?
Can we pray, to know the kind of love He lived?
By the GRACE of GOD, by the SPIRIT of the LORD, in honor of the LORD JESUS, we will aspire to be able to love.
As the LORD did.
John 15:12-14
King James Version
12 This is my commandment,
That ye love one another,
as I have loved you.
13 Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends,
if ye do whatsoever I command you.
