Romans 8:5-8

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:
for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God.
There are kind people.
There are generous people.
There are wonderful people.
But only GOD is good, as defined by the LORD JESUS.
Luke 18:18-19

18 And a certain ruler asked him,

Good Master,
what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him,
Why callest thou me good?
none is good,
save one,
that is,
God.
It's always good to turn to SCRIPTURE, and look from God's perspective.
Lest we think our philanthropy, and good works merit salvation.
This world serves a different god.
Unless you're born again, you won't know the GOD who must prevail.
To know the SPIRIT of GOD, you must be "born of water, and of the Spirit".
The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD teaches us all things.
I serve only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
I do not serve the fallible men of this world.
1 Corinthians 2:5

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men,
but in the power of God.
Unbelievers in the SONSHIP of JESUS, are in grave danger of serving the god of this world.
2 Corinthians 4:4
King James Version
4 In whom the god of this world
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God,
should shine unto them.
The world will make "merchandise" of us.
2 Peter 2:3
King James Version
3 And through covetousness shall they
with feigned words make merchandise of you:
whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not,
and their damnation slumbereth not.
The world is a well "without water".
2 Peter 2:17
King James Version
17 These are wells without water,
clouds that are carried with a tempest;
to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
The world promotes "wantonness".
2 Peter 2:18

18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity,
they allure through the lusts of the flesh,
through much wantonness,
those that were clean
escaped from them who live in error.
The world is a servant of "corruption".
2 Peter 2:19

19 While they promise them liberty,
they themselves are the servants of corruption:
for of whom a man is overcome,
of the same is he brought in bondage.
Again, and again, the corrupted world, is returned to its own filth, even after knowing about JESUS.
2 Peter 2:20

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world
through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
they are again entangled therein,
and overcome,
the latter end is worse with them
than the beginning.
And yet, there is no more sacrifice after this.
Hebrews 10:26

after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
There is only one SAVIOR.
Acts 4:10-12

If we are to survive, we are to focus on JESUS alone.
Colossians 3:1-2
