TRUSTING the LORD's WAYS

 

FOCUSING solely on the LORD

Proverbs 3:5-6

King James Version

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; 

and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, 

and he shall direct thy paths.

There's a part of me that's pretty relaxed.

Knowing that ONLY GOD has full control over everything.

And that, through our FAITH in JESUS, His HOLY SPIRIT makes things clear regarding the times.

In his deluded thinking, man thinks he knows better than God.

He thinks he's cut it to a "T".

He thinks he's got it all figured out.

And continues to defy the Lord.

Of course, that's foolhardy.

But what can one do?

Only through a lesson from Spirit, a chastening from God, can one start paying attention.

Consider what happened when Israel asked for a king.

So, God gives them "their" king.

Of course, when you go against God, expect disaster.

Ah, but observe WHEN God puts His own king in place.

The Bible is replete with instances of God's love and mercy, and man's continuing defiance.

When, oh when, will man ever learn?

When will he stop having foolish, foolish pride?

Proverbs 16:18

King James Version

18 Pride goeth before destruction, 

and an haughty spirit before a fall.

When will man realize the will of God stands, no matter how man defies the Lord?

Proverbs 19:21

King James Version

21 There are many devices in a man's heart; 

nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, 

that shall stand.

Isaiah 14:24

King James Version

24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, 

saying, 

Surely as I have thought, 

so shall it come to pass; 

and as I have purposed, 

so shall it stand:

Isaiah 46:11

King James Version

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, 

the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: 

yea, I have spoken it, 

I will also bring it to pass; 

I have purposed it, 

I will also do it.

As a child of God, confident in God's ways, I only focus on things above.

Colossians 3:1-3

King James Version

3 If ye then be risen with Christ, 

seek those things which are above, 

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, 

not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, 

and your life is hid with Christ in God.

And I await the day the LORD JESUS will descend from heaven, and have His church meet Him up in the air.

It's all preparation now.
