GOD has GREAT HUMOR, Part 2

Psalm 126:1-2

King James Version

126 When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion,

we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter,

and our tongue with singing:

then said they among the heathen,

The Lord hath done great things for them.

God really knows my heart.

Awakened early by Him this morning, He gifted me with another funny story from the Bible.

This time on seven defiers of His Holy Spirit.

While in Ephesus, apostle Paul was gifted by God with His Holy Spirit.

Acts 19:11-12

King James Version

11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons,

and the diseases departed from them,

and the evil spirits went out of them.

Not to be outdone, here come the un-magnificent seven.

Acts 19:13-14

King James Version

13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews,

exorcists,

took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus,

saying,

We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva,

a Jew,

and chief of the priests,

which did so.

Here's the clincher.

Acts 19:13-14

King James Version

15 And the evil spirit answered and said,

Jesus I know,

and Paul I know;

but who are ye?

Can you ever guess what the evil spirit did?

Acts 19:13-14

King James Version

16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them,

and overcame them,

and prevailed against them

so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Of course, God wasn't done yet.

Acts 19:13-14

King James Version

17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus;

and fear fell on them all,

and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Lessons learned?

Never challenge God.

Never mock the men of God.

Never mock the Holy Spirit of God.

Never speak for Jesus, unless you are His.

And yes, don't try this at home.

First things first, dear readers.

LOVE God, BELIEVE in Jesus, BE born again, and WAIT to be gifted with God's SPIRIT.

Only then can God perform miracles in, and through you.

(If that be His will.)

What were those dudes thinking?

Want another funny story?

Sure thing.

It's about the reluctant prophet.
