Job 37:22
King James Version
22 Fair weather cometh out of the north:
with God is terrible majesty.
Tired of going around in circles?
Wanting definite answers to the questions of life?
Not knowing whom to trust?
There is a way.
No tricks.
No traps.
But, a trip.
Unlike all other trips you've had.
We've traveled, and strayed, long enough.
Deuteronomy 2:3
King James Version
3 Ye have compassed this mountain long enough:
turn you northward.
So, I wondered about this covid crisis, and all.
Was God sending a message?
To stop all vain travel, and turn back to Him?
To stop self-absorption, and start focusing on Him?
To stop endless idolatry, fornication, adultery, covetousness, variance, witchcraft, sorcery -- all sins of pride and flesh -- and start praising Him, for a change?
To stop all rebellion, and come home to Him?
People think when we say "coming home", means we pass on from this world.
Not so fast.
We can't be with JESUS, unless we are clean.
Unless we are holy, as God is.
Unless we are perfect, as God is.
Could that be possible?
Matthew 19:26
King James Version
26 But Jesus beheld them,
and said unto them,
With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.
Jesus declared it possible.
Who are we to question the WORD of the LORD?
When you truly desire God, He will be there.
Even as He had been there all along.
He was present.
We were absent.
We strayed.
We took many roads.
He allows us to stray.
For God knows man's heart.
But everything serves HIS PURPOSE.
We just have to remember God LOVES us.
And that JESUS is the WAY, back to God.
John 14:6
King James Version
6 Jesus saith unto him,
I am the way,
the truth,
and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father,
but by me.
That makes JESUS our TRUE NORTH.
Our compass.
Our unerring NORTH.
We will never be lost again.
For no one can separate us from His LOVE.
Romans 8:35-39
King James Version
35 Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation,
or distress,
or persecution,
or famine,
or nakedness,
or peril,
or sword?
36 As it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay,
in all these things we are more than conquerors
through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded,
that neither death,
nor life,
nor angels,
nor principalities,
nor powers,
nor things present,
nor things to come,
39 Nor height,
nor depth,
nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God,
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So, let's take the first steps.
On this ROAD, back to CHRIST.
With Christ, for Christ, by Christ, from Christ.
You see, it's been JESUS ALL ALONG.
Now, let's take that first step.
For it is the road to righteousness.
It is the narrow gate.
To God's highway.
It is also the path of commitment.
Which frightens us so.
But Jesus will direct our paths.
He commanded we pack this for the journey.
Is it a long journey?
What else do we have to bring?
What will sustain us along the way?
But what if we get distracted again?
He gave us something to properly nourish us for the journey.
All we have to do, is heed God's call.
And accept His invitation.
For He knows what He's looking for.
Would that be us?
So, we take that walk now.
Those shortcuts caused us much harm, in the past.
We travel light, and we take only one thing with us.
That ought to make the journey easier.
That will keep our paths straight.
We can lose all, but not this one.
JESUS also gave us another thing.
So easy to do.
And yet ensures our safety.
That will take us out of harm's way.
And yes, we need to take this journey.
For it's the only worthwhile journey.
Is this the only way?
Back to GOD?
