The ANGEL tells Zechariah:
Zechariah 4:6

This is the word of the Lord
unto Zerubbabel,
saying,
Not by might,
nor by power,
but by my spirit,
saith the Lord of hosts.
Why do things fail, or don't seem to last?
Why is there a shortage of TRUE happiness, or peace?
Why do things in the world seem unclear?
If you're running from your own steam, you can only get so far.
If you believe it's you running the show, you will run out of a platform, ideas, audience, or resources one day.
God hates the proud.
Jeremiah 50:31

31 Behold,
I am against thee,
O thou most proud,
saith the Lord God of hosts:
for thy day is come,
the time that I will visit thee.
And life is as vapor.
James 4:14

14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow.
For what is your life?
It is even a vapour,
that appeareth for a little time,
and then vanisheth away.
If you think you're the richest, coolest, most powerful, smartest, most good-looking, most awesome, most popular -- virtually unbeatable -- you'll be in for a rude awakening.
And a very deep, dark, and destructive fall.
As that proud cherubim experienced.
Which the LORD JESUS witnessed:
Luke 10:18

I beheld Satan as lightning
fall from heaven.
If you think you're indestructible, you're taking on the power of the HOLY SPIRIT, which ONLY GOD can give.
That's why things fail.
That's why things don't last.
That's why we get disappointed.
We can't rely on man, or the world, to give us what we truly want.
Only through JESUS, can we be happy.
Only through JESUS, are we truly LOVED.
Only by being taught by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, can we know the TRUTH of JESUS.
We are flesh.
What makes us think we are immortal?
From what deluded, corrupted part of ourselves, gave us that idea?
And whoever fed us those destructive ideas, you can be sure who they serve.
So, the world continues in greed, vanity, and lust.
Putting one, over their brothers, and sisters.
Thinking they're invincible.
Thinking they won't be found out.
Thinking no one knows better.
But GOD KNOWS.
Nothing is hidden from His SIGHT.
Hebrews 4:13

13 Neither is there any creature
that is not manifest in his sight:
but all things are naked and opened
unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
GOD is the TRUE POWER.
Only JESUS is our SALVATION.
Only through GOD's HOLY SPIRIT can we know TRUTH.
We have been grossly deceived, deluded, and disturbed.
God's truth has been distorted in this world.
Many false gospels abound.
Many deceived elect teach those gospels.
The HOLY SPIRIT of GOD will end all such distortion, and deception, for He is the SPIRIT of TRUTH.
Once GOD makes you born again, the HOLY SPIRIT will start instructing you, so you will know, and believe in the TRUE GOSPEL of CHRIST.
Why do I say God "makes" you born again?
Only by His POWER and ANOINTING, can you really be gifted with His HOLY SPIRIT.
GOD decides on EVERYTHING, whether we accept that, or not.
His WILL be done.
Which the LORD JESUS taught us to pray:
Matthew 6:10

10 Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth,
as it is in heaven.
Only through a CONTRITE heart, can we be BLESSED.
Isaiah 66:2
King James Version
2 For all those things hath mine hand made,
and all those things have been,
saith the Lord:
but to this man will I look,
even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit,
and trembleth at my word.
Through God's SPIRIT, Scripture becomes easy to understand.
As a child would.
Be not afraid of Scripture.
Rather, be afraid, of not even expressing interest in it.
The WORD of GOD is ALL that will REMAIN.
JESUS did say:
John 14:1-4

14 Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God,
believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many mansions:
if it were not so,
I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again,
and receive you unto myself;
that where I am,
there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know,
and the way ye know.
Man thinks of self.
JESUS focuses on GOD.
The HOLY SPIRIT focuses on JESUS.
GOD focuses on JESUS.
GOD gave us JESUS.
We need to start reading the BIBLE, to know GOD's POWER, and be humbled, accordingly.
Romans 13:1
King James Version
13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.
For there is no power but of God:
the powers that be are ordained of God.
Without JESUS, we can do nothing.
At least, that which is PLEASING to GOD.
For, the LORD JESUS existed only to PLEASE His FATHER.
And we must do the same.
JESUS shows us how.
John 15:5

5 I am the vine,
ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me,
and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit:
for without me ye can do nothing.
