SAVING our SOULS:
James 1:21
King James Version
21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness
and superfluity of naughtiness,
and receive with meekness
the engrafted word,
which is able to save your souls.
We, of a rebellious generation, must HEED the WORD of GOD now.
Lest GOD decides it's time for His SON to gather the faithful.
And we're not one of them.
We will not be able to bear the consequences.
The lusts of the flesh, have caused man great ruin.
In soul, and in spirit.
Why does Scripture consider the flesh filthy?
Why do we need to conquer the flesh?
How do we conquer the flesh?
SPIRIT led me to FIVE verses, which help us conquer the destructiveness brought about, by obsession with the flesh.
VERSE 1:
Galatians 5:16

16 This I say then,
Walk in the Spirit,
and ye shall not fulfil
the lust of the flesh.
VERSE 2:
Galatians 5:24
King James Version
24 And they that are Christ's
have crucified the flesh
with the affections and lusts.
VERSE 3:
Matthew 18:3
King James Version
3 And said,
Verily I say unto you,
Except ye be converted,
and become as little children,
ye shall not enter
into the kingdom of heaven.
VERSE 4:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
King James Version
19 What?
know ye not that your body
is the temple of the Holy Ghost
which is in you,
which ye have of God,
and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body,
and in your spirit,
which are God's.
VERSE 5:
John 3:3
King James Version
3 Jesus answered and said unto him,
Verily, verily,
I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Only by becoming born again, can we start walking in the SPIRIT.
Only by being born of water, and of the Spirit, can we see the kingdom of God.
John 3:5-7
King James Version
5 Jesus answered,
Verily, verily,
I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water
and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.
Becoming born again, we become like little children.
Having COMPLETE FAITH in the LORD.
Becoming as little children, we become teachable.
Then, we can start walking in the SPIRIT.
Having the SPIRIT of GOD in us, makes us aware of the sins of the flesh.
Which is legion.
Galatians 5:17

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Galatians 5:19-21
King James Version
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these;
Adultery,
fornication,
uncleanness,
lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry,
witchcraft,
hatred,
variance,
emulations,
wrath,
strife,
seditions,
heresies,
21 Envyings,
murders,
drunkenness,
revellings,
and such like:
of the which I tell you before,
as I have also told you in time past,
that they which do such things
shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Let's focus on JESUS alone.
That will take care of the obsession with things of the world.
Flesh, being one of them.
Colossians 3:1-2
King James Version
3 If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above,
not on things on the earth.
