The LORD JESUS admonished:
John 3:12

12 If I have told you earthly things,
and ye believe not,
how shall ye believe,
if I tell you of heavenly things?
In JESUS, is healing.
In JESUS is ETERNAL LIFE.
In JESUS, is life.
1 John 5:12
King James Version
12 He that hath the Son hath life;
and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
The HOLY SPIRIT led me to something important today.
It starts with a curious story about Moses.
And the grumblings of God's people, which they often do.
This, after the LORD just delivered them from the Canaanites.
Numbers 21:5
King James Version
5 And the people spake against God,
and against Moses,
Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt
to die in the wilderness?
for there is no bread,
neither is there any water;
and our soul loatheth this light bread.
The LORD's response?
Numbers 21:6
King James Version
6 And the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people,
and they bit the people;
and much people of Israel died.
Repentant, the people appealed to Moses.
Numbers 21:7
King James Version
7 Therefore the people came to Moses,
and said, We have sinned,
for we have spoken against the Lord,
and against thee; pray unto the Lord,
that he take away the serpents from us.
And Moses prayed for the people.
GOD, then, instructs Moses.
Numbers 21:8
King James Version
8 And the Lord said unto Moses,
Make thee a fiery serpent,
and set it upon a pole:
and it shall come to pass,
that every one that is bitten,
when he looketh upon it,
shall live.
And the people were healed.
Numbers 21:9
King James Version
9 And Moses made a serpent of brass,
and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass,
that if a serpent had bitten any man,
when he beheld the serpent of brass,
he lived.
Moses also prophesied about JESUS.
Deuteronomy 18:15
King James Version
15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee
a Prophet from the midst of thee,
of thy brethren, like unto me;
unto him ye shall hearken;
Interestingly, the LORD JESUS spoke of Moses, and that brazen serpent, in relation to His own ministry.
John 3:14-15
King James Version
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have eternal life.
Through JESUS, we have ETERNAL LIFE.
But the brazen serpent story doesn't end there.
Man continues to defy the LORD.
He knows how GOD abhors idolatry.
But look what happened.
People looked to other gods.
Greek mythology speaks of the "rod of Asclepius".
Their answer to healing and medicine.
Another similar take is the "caduceus".
Possibly of Mesopotamian origin.
Both very similar in aspect to that brazen serpent of Moses' time.
How man has wronged the LORD!
The ONE, TRUE GOD who holds power over EVERYTHING.
It's really time to honor the LORD JESUS.
ONLY THROUGH JESUS, can we be HEALED.
ONLY THROUGH JESUS, can we have ETERNAL LIFE.
Man cannot forgive sin.
ONLY JESUS can FORGIVE sin.
Sin is connected to sickness.
Mark 2:5
King James Version
5 When Jesus saw their faith,
he said unto the sick of the palsy,
Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
Sin has been the root cause of all ills.
Let's all be vigilant.
GOD's TRUTH has been defiled, and distorted -- many times over.
With the objective of making people fall into idolatry.
Also with the intention of usurping God's POWER.
Setting aside JESUS, and confusing the people.
SPIRIT and Scripture will set facts straight.
You can count on that.
Especially in these end times.
