Hebrews 9:3
King James Version
3 And after the second veil,
the tabernacle which is called
the Holiest of all;
The LORD stood there.
Hands slightly outstretched to His sides.
Looking at me.
Not saying a word.
In place of the tabernacle, there He stood.
This dream occurred too many years ago.
I honestly didn't know what to make of it.
What did the JESUS want to tell me?
What was I to do?
What did He expect me to do?
It had to take my being born again, to know.
Today, the HOLY SPIRIT led me to some explanation.
You see, I had a favorite circular chapel -- open-type -- in the big city.
I was Catholic, then.
It was in a park, in stark contrast to the burgeoning tall buildings around.
It was probably the LORD's last bastion in that city.
I didn't know Scripture then, so I have no explanation.
But as with my many dreams, I committed it to paper, and to memory.
Taking note of all the details.
No dream book could explain that mysterious dream.
Even as the PRESENCE of the LORD, already spoke volumes.
All I knew about tabernacles -- as a former Catholic -- was that it held what the priests called, the "holy host", or the "body" of Christ.
Well, that "body" showed up in my dream.
Life-size.
Not the wafer we took at communion.
THANKS to SPIRIT, now, I understand why JESUS stood IN PLACE of the tabernacle.
Hebrews 9:2-8
King James Version
2 For there was a tabernacle made;
the first,
wherein was the candlestick,
and the table,
and the shewbread;
which is called the sanctuary.
3 And after the second veil,
the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
4 Which had the golden censer,
and the ark of the covenant
overlaid round about with gold,
wherein was the golden pot that had manna,
and Aaron's rod that budded,
and the tables of the covenant;
5 And over it the cherubims of glory
shadowing the mercyseat;
of which we cannot now speak particularly.
6 Now when these things were thus ordained,
the priests went always into the first tabernacle,
accomplishing the service of God.
7 But into the second went the high priest alone
once every year,
not without blood,
which he offered for himself,
and for the errors of the people:
8 The Holy Ghost this signifying,
that the way into the holiest of all
was not yet made manifest,
while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:
Hebrews 9:11
King James Version
11 But Christ being come
an high priest of good things to come,
by a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
not made with hands,
that is to say,
not of this building;
Hebrews 9:12
King James Version
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by his own blood he entered in once
into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption
for us.
Hebrews 9:24
King James Version
24 For Christ is not entered
into the holy places made with hands,
which are the figures of the true;
but into heaven itself,
now to appear in the presence of God
for us:
The LORD JESUS doesn't need a structure.
He cannot be contained in a tiny tabernacle holding the Catholic priest's white wafer hosts.
As prophesied in Scripture, this is what will happen, when the Groom comes for His bride:
Revelation 21:1-4
King James Version
21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth
were passed away;
and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city,
new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,
Behold,
the tabernacle of God is with men,
and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them,
and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow,
nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
Revelation 21:22
King James Version
22 And I saw no temple therein:
for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb
are the temple of it.
