GIFT of GAB

Exodus 6:12

King James Version

12 And Moses spake before the Lord,

saying,

Behold, the children of Israel

have not hearkened unto me;

how then shall Pharaoh hear me,

who am of uncircumcised lips?

Moses was definitely not a scaredy cat.

Exodus 2:11-12

King James Version

11 And it came to pass in those days,

when Moses was grown,

that he went out unto his brethren,

and looked on their burdens:

and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew,

one of his brethren.

12 And he looked this way and that way,

and when he saw that there was no man,

he slew the Egyptian,

and hid him in the sand.

But he had one stumbling block.

Speech.

So much so, he repeated before the Lord:

Exodus 6:30

King James Version

30 And Moses said before the Lord,

Behold,

I am of uncircumcised lips,

and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

As if that mattered.

As if that would stop the Lord's plan.

So, God took care of that mild problem.

At least, mild to God.

Not only that.

The CREATOR's super creative.

Exodus 7:1-2

King James Version

7 And the Lord said unto Moses,

See,

I have made thee a god to Pharaoh:

and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee:

and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh,

that he send the children of Israel out of his land.

Problem solved.

And ISRAEL was freed.

GOD also assigned angels to deliver His commands, or messages.

Luke 1:26-35

King James Version

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel

was sent from God unto a city of Galilee,

named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph,

of the house of David;

and the virgin's name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her,

and said,

Hail,

thou that art highly favoured,

the Lord is with thee:

blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him,

she was troubled at his saying,

and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her,

Fear not,

Mary:

for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And,

behold,

thou shalt conceive in thy womb,

and bring forth a son,

and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great,

and shall be called the Son of the Highest:

and the Lord God shall give unto him

the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;

and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel,

How shall this be,

seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her,

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee,

and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:

therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee

shall be called the Son of God.

Even the LORD JESUS depended on the FATHER, to counsel Him what to speak.

Witness the LORD JESUS' utmost obedience.

John 5:30

King James Version

30 I can of mine own self do nothing:

as I hear,

I judge

and my judgment is just;

because I seek not mine own will,

but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 12:49-50

King James Version

49 For I have not spoken of myself;

but the Father which sent me,

he gave me a commandment,

what I should say,

and what I should speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:

whatsoever I speak therefore,

even as the Father said unto me,

so I speak.

John 14:10

King James Version

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father,

and the Father in me?

the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself:

but the Father that dwelleth in me,

he doeth the works.

How are all these possible?

Moses.

Angel Gabriel.

The LORD JESUS.

Even that talking donkey.

Huh?

Think not a donkey could talk?

Numbers 22:28-30

King James Version

28 And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass

and she said unto Balaam,

What have I done unto thee,

that thou hast smitten me these three times?

29 And Balaam said unto the ass,

Because thou hast mocked me:

I would there were a sword in mine hand,

for now would I kill thee.

30 And the ass said unto Balaam,

Am not I thine ass,

upon which thou hast ridden

ever since I was thine unto this day?

was I ever wont to do so unto thee

And you thought I was kidding, huh?

What do you think Balaam replied?

Numbers 22:30

King James Version

and he said,

Nay.

Sounds like a horse.

But, to continue.

Numbers 22:31

King James Version

31 Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam,

and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way,

and his sword drawn in his hand:

and he bowed down his head,

and fell flat on his face.

As they say, these days:

"That'll learn ya!"

I'm not being flippant.

I'm merely LOVING GOD, and SCRIPTURE.

Being childlike, I love the stories Scripture tells us.

How DELIGHTFUL Scripture is!

What an AWESOME way to learn!

HOLY SPIRIT makes it all possible.

When GOD literally wants to MAKE a STATEMENT, He does.

Literally.

HOWEVER He sees fit.

And it will either fit you, send you into a fit, or send you into fits of laughter.

Keep a childlike heart, and you'll understand what the HEAVEN I'm talking about.

Look what the LORD JESUS revealed here:

Matthew 19:26

King James Version

26 But Jesus beheld them,

and said unto them,

With men this is impossible;

but with God all things are possible.

I suppose, I'm the quiet gab.

For I write, instead of speak.

My blogs do all the writing.

The HOLY SPIRIT -- and SCRIPTURE -- do all the talking.

God created me to write.

WORDS are my TOYS.

The only thing I don't toy around with, are HIS WORDS.

Nope.

Nevah!

SCRIPTURE is SACRED.

I deliver, as is.

Not one iota of modification.

What's the SECRET to SPEAKING?

Keep quiet.

Let GOD do ALL the TALKING.

Matthew 10:17-20

King James Version

17 But beware of men:

for they will deliver you up to the councils,

and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake,

for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up,

take no thought how or what ye shall speak:

for it shall be given you

in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 For it is not ye that speak,

but the Spirit of your Father

which speaketh in you.

AWESOME!

What a relief, too.

Those who can't speak, must remain quiet.

Those who think they can, must also remain quiet.

We born agains, wait for SPIRIT to activate us in His service, as prescribed by the LORD JESUS.

Luke 24:49

King James Version

49 And,

behold,

I send the promise of my Father upon you:

but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem,

until ye be endued with power from on high.

Speech must only come from the LORD.

EVERY word must be INFUSED with GOD's GRACE, TRUTH, POWER, LOVE, and GLORY.

Then, we become effective speakers.

Through His HOLY SPIRIT, God chooses who He wants to speak for Him.

The rest of the time, we all remain quiet.

For only JESUS, and the SPIRIT of GOD, can make intercession for us.

Romans 8:26-27

King James Version

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:

for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:

but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us

with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts

knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,

because he maketh intercession for the saints

according to the will of God.

GOD's SPIRIT comes to warn us, too.

1 Timothy 4:1

King James Version

4 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,

that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,

giving heed to seducing spirits,

and doctrines of devils;

The FATHER speaks through His SPIRIT.

Matthew 16:15-17

King James Version

15 He saith unto them,

But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said,

Thou art the Christ,

the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him,

Blessed art thou,

Simon Barjona:

for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee,

but my Father which is in heaven.

Only SPIRIT can attest to the DIVINITY of CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 12:3

King James Version

3 Wherefore I give you to understand,

that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:

and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord,

but by the Holy Ghost.

As such, SPEECH is SACRED.

Let only the SPIRIT of GOD speak -- THROUGH us.

The rest of the time?

We zip our lip.

Habakkuk 2:20

King James Version

20 But the Lord is in his holy temple:

let all the earth keep silence before him.
